Tral: Tral sub division of Pulwama district in South Kashmir observed a shutdown on third consecutive day on Wednesday against the killing of a detained militant who died in a grenade blast.

Mushtaq Ahmad chopan, resident of Waged village in Aripal Tral, was killed on Monday after a grenade blast happened near the police station Tral killing him on spot and injuring a Jammu and Kashmir Policeman.

According to police he was trying to escape while other militants, in order to divert attention hurled grenade which exploded near Mushtaq. Killing him on the spot.

Police has launched an inquiry in to the incident.

All the shops, educational institutions and business establishments are closed while traffic is off the roads.

Mushtaq was associated to Hizbul Mujahideen and was arrested in Watlab area of north kashmir’s Sopore im Baramulla district along with weapons on January 7.
