Srinagar: A joint team of police and paramilitary CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation at Buchpora in outskirts of Srinagar on Wednesday. The CASO follows a similar operation in central Kashmir Budgam district’s Machow area earlier in the day which ended peacefully.
Sources said the joint team of forces cordoned off Gulberg Colony of Buchpora amid inputs about the presence of some militants there.
When this report was filed, the searches in the area were going on.
