Snowfall leads to cancellation of all 22 flights from Srinagar, closure of highway

Srinagar: As Kashmir received snowfall, ending persistent dry spell, 22 flights were cancelled from the Srinagar ‘International Airport’ due to poor visibility. No flight could either take off or arrive at the airport, the officials told the INS.
Fresh snowfall lashed the Valley on Monday morning. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and snow till forenoon of February 13. The Srinagar-Jammu highway, the surface link connecting Kashmir Valley with the rest of the world, also remained closed throughout the day due to snowfall at several place, officials added.
