Kupwara: Three residential houses were destroyed in an overnight fire incident at Halmatpora village of this north Kashmir district.
Reports said fire broke out on Thursday night in the house of Zulfkar Khan and spread to two more residential houses including a cow shed, destroying them all.
The affected owners were identified as Zulfikar Ahmad Khan, Zahoor Ahmad Khan and Fayaz Ahmad Khan.
“Two cows and a bull were also charred to death, we couldn’t even save any household item,” Zulfkar said.
He said the fire tenders reached to the spot late.
“Everything was destroyed,” Khan added.
