Sexagenarian Woman Dies In Rafiabad House fire

Sopore: A woman died in a house fire in Rafiabad area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday.
According to reports, house of Ghulam Hassan Khan son of Sher Wali Khan was completely gutted in a fire at Lari Aagan village of Rafiabad. A sixty-year-old woman who was trapped inside the house died, they said.
An official of Fire Service Department told INS that a team was sent to the spot soon a call was received from locals about the fire.
However, he said, due to lack of road connectivity, the team was unable reach at the spot.
Meanwhile, a police official identified her the sexagenarian as Begum Jaan.
“We are looking for the cause of the fire,” the official said.
