Srinagar: Two INS reporters were awarded on Republic Day for their best social services and efforts for reaching to general public and highlighting their grievances.
INS correspondent Mir Showkat Ahmad was felicitated during the Republic Day function held at Madre-Meherban Stadium Ganderbal.
Minister of State for health, medical education, social welfare, housing and urban development Asiea Naqash was the chief guest on the occasion.
MLA Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Dr Piyush Singla, SSP Ganderbal Fayaz Ahmad Lone, Army officers, district officers and citizens were present during the function.
Kousar Gull was awarded with Certificate of Excellence by Sub Divisional Magistrate, Dooru (SDM) for his outstanding performance in the field of media.
