6 shops gutted in south Kashmir’s Verinag

Anantnag: Six shops and a journalist’s house were destroyed in a fire incident in Verinag area of this south Kashmir district on Friday night.
The fire tenders doused the flames along with the help of locals. Property worth lakhs has been destroyed.
The shops belong to Shabir Ahmad Hajam, Farooq Ahmad Wani, Jahangir Ahmad Sofi, Ghulam Mohiuddin Shah, Abdul Majeed Tak, and Mohammad Yousaf Shah.
The house of the Punjab Kesari reporter Rouf Wani was also destroyed in the fire.
