Sopore: Militant from Tral among 3 persons arrested

Sopore: A militant and two other persons, suspected to be OGWs, were arrested on Sunday evening in Sopore town of north Kashmir’s BAramulla district.
Official sources told INS that acting on specific information about the presence of militants, Army, 163 Territorial Army and police’s SOG launched a joint cordon-and-search-operation at Watlab area of north Kashmir and arrested three persons including an active militant identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Chopan, a resident of Tral Pulwama in south Kashmir. Identity of two other persons could not be ascertained immediately.
Huge quantity of arms and ammunition were recovered from them, they said, adding that the trio has been handed over to SOG Sopore for further questioning
