Beacon officer found dead under snow mass in Kupwara

Srinagar: A Beacon officer who was swept away by an avalanche, has been found dead in Kupwara district of north Kashmir on Friday .
As reported earlier, two beacon officials came under a snow avalanche adjacent to Sadhna top. While one of them was injured, an in-charge sector commander of beacon (hawaldar) was swept away.
Soon army launched rescue operation and the officer, MP Singh of 109 RCC, was found and shifted to a mini military officer in the district. The doctors who attended upon him declared Singh as brought dead, sources said.
