Srinagar: Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday termed the Sunday’s Lethpora militant attack at a CRPF camp as “a cowardly attack” saying, “We are proud of our brave jawans; their sacrifice won’t go in vain.”
“The entire nation stands with their families. We are proud of our brave jawans who lost their lives in the fighting back the terrorists,” Singh said.
Five soldiers were killed on Sunday after militants stormed a CRPF training centre Lethpora area of Pulwama district in the wee hours. The militants first lobbed grenades and then began indiscriminate firing and entered the training centre. Two militants have been killed so far in the gunfight which followed.
