Jammu: Tassaduq Mufti, brother of the Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti, and MLA Chadoora Javaid Mustafa Mir on Thursday took the oath of office and secrecy as ministers during the swearing-in ceremony at Raj Bhavan here.
“Governor N N Vohra administered Oath of Office and Secrecy at the ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan here today morning to Legislators Javaid Mustafa Mir and Tassaduq Hussain Mufti who have been inducted into the Cabinet as Ministers for the State,” an official statement said.
Tassaduq was last week nominated as MLC by Governor NN Vohra on recommendations of the state government. He joined politics after demise of his father Mufti Muhammad Sayeed in January 2016.
