Govt approves Rs 10.95 Cr for restoration, upgradation of Ziyarat Sharief Khiram, Shiv Mandir Thajiwara in Anantnag

Dec 27: The north Kashmir Kupwara district’s Kachama village, comprising about 6 mohallas, reels under darkness.
Locals say they face immense hardships as the only transformer in the village doesn’t function well. “The transformer is frequently developing technical snag and every time it takes week to get repaired. Worst part is that this is continuing in harsh winters,” they said.
“Despite having a minister of our own side, we still have to such face hardships,” the locals say. “The week-long power cuts are unbearable.”
The people of Kachama urge the authorities to take the matter seriously and redress their grievances at the earliest.
