Srinagar:  Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday suspended 13 lecturers who have not attended the coaching centres set up by the Education Department in the Ganderbal district.

An official spokesman said here that District Administration Ganderbal put 13 lecturers of Education Department under suspension after various winter coaching centres established by the department at various areas in Kangan area were found defunct during the surprise inspection.

The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal conducted the inspection of the centres, meant for imparting coaching of competitive examinations, after receiving the complaints from the locals about the issue.

The DDC Ganderbal ensured that such inspections shall continue in future as well.
