Employees of the National Health Mission (NHM), working under Health Services Kashmir, on Thursday staged a protest to press the government to include them in the list of 60, 000 employees being regularized.
Hundreds of employees from different districts, including doctors, paramedical staff, and technicians of the health department who are working on a contractual basis under National Health Mission assembled at Pratap Park in the commercial hub Lal Chowk.
Demanding their regularization, the protesters shouted slogans against the state government.
The protesting employees demanded that they should also be included in the recent list of 60, 000 employees who are to be regularized.
Recently, Jammu and Kashmir government announced that it will regularize 60,000 daily wagers and casual labourers. However, NHM employees haven’t been included in the list.
