Srinagar: Large number of Saakshar Bharat Mission (SBM) employees on Monday staged a protest here in Srinagar seeking release of pending salaries and regularization of their services.

The protesting employees under the banner of SBM Employees’ Forum assembled here at Polo Ground marched towards press enclave and raised slogans in favour of their demands.

The protesters while talking to INS said their main demand is ‘to create job policy for them’ as from last 5 years their job policy has not been made till date and their wages are too pending.

“It has been five years since we were appointed as coordinators on contractual basis. But since then our salaries are pending and even our job policy were not made yet ,” said a protester.

The protesters while talking to INS demanded regularization of their services and also release of pending salaries.
