Srinagar: National Conference (NC), Monday marched while raising slogans against the government over killing of a sumo driver in army firing in Kupwara district of north kashmir.
Protesting NC workers were led by General Secretary and MLA Khanyar Ali Muhammad Sagar.
They marched from Nawa-e-Subh party headquarters towards city center Lal Chowk.
They termed the government probe into the killing of Kupwara driver as an “eye-wash”.
Asif Iqbal, a sumo driver, was killed in army firing in Thandipora village of Kupwara district late Saturday night.
Army said that he was killed in “cross-firing” with militants during an ambush.
