Srinagar: At least two youths were injured in clashes near the site of gunfight in Futlipora village of Pakherpora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday.

Reports said that youth took to streets and pelted the forces with stones to disrupt the anti-militant operation.

The forces, they said, responded by firing teargas shells and pellet guns.

“Two teenagers sustained pellet injuries in the clashes. They were being treated at CHC Pakherpora for treatment,” said a health official.

Both the injured are residents of Karpora Check village of Pakherpora.

Meanwhile, the exchange of fire is on between militants and forces.

Another teen was hit by a bullet in clashes at main chowk Pakherpora after army opened fire to disperse stone-throwing protesters. Meanwhile, according to reports a private vehicle set ablaze by protesters in the ongoing clashes.  (INS)
