Pakherpora encounter: One more militant killed; toll 4

Srinagar, Nov 30: One more militant ha s been killed in an operation at Fotlipora village in Pakherpora of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday, taking death toll of militants to four.

Army’s Srinagar based defence spokesperson Col Rajesh Kalia in a statement to GNS said that one more militant hiding in the village have been killed in the operation.

Kalia said that earlier three militants have been killed after a joint team of army, police and CRPF cordoned off the village following a tip off about the presence of some militants.

He said that as the joint team approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants opened fire triggering off an encounter.

Meanwhil, he said the operation in the village is still under way. (Inputs GNS)
