Srinagar: Joint Resistance Leadership on Sunday reiterated call for complete shutdown tomorrow, November 27, in Kashmir against “unabated atrocities” by government forces in the Valley.
“The gruesome atrocities committed by Indian forces across North and South Kashmir, are crossing its limits. The condition of thousands of innocents languishing in jails and police stations is also worsening day by day,” said JRL comprising of Syed Ali Geelani. Mirwaiz Mohammad Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik.
“Kashmiries are always protesting against these human rights violations and strike call for Monday, 27 November 2017 is also intended for highlighting these oppressive measures,” they said.
They said forces have unleashed a reign of terror across whole valley especially south and north of Kashmir, where “crackdowns, vandalizing properties, beating, torturing common people, arrests and other oppressive measures have became an order of the day.”
“Similarly NIA and ED terrorism is also going on through which Indians intend to defeat our resistance. Leaders said that likewise thousands of Kashmiries have been put into jails and torture centers where these people are terrorized and intimidated endlessly.”
They said that from Tihar jail to the jails of Jammu Kashmir, Kashmiri leaders and other people are being put to worst hardships.  They appealed people to observe a complete shutdown against these “atrocities”.
