Srinagar, Nov 24: In the ongoing Shaheed-e-Millat T20 Cricket Tournament two league matches were played on Friday between Ahmad Nagar Loins v/s Star Cricket Club and Saleem Bangroo XI v/s Royal Sports Haal.
The first match of the day was won by Star Cricket Club with 4 wickets after they successfully chased the 191 runs target set by Ahmad Nagar Loins. Aaqib Backam turned hero of the day with 56 runs of entertaining knock which includes consecutive three boundaries. Jhangir Ahmad also led a helping hand to chase the target by scoring 63 runs and was adjusted Man of the Match. Earlier, Iqbal Ahmad of Ahmad Nagar Loins also scored a half century.  The award was presented by Qazi Taouseef, President Munawarabad Traders Federation. Senior members of the organizing committee S. Manzoor and Sahil War were also present on the occasion.
In second match Saleem Bangroo XI won the toss & elects to bat first against Royal Sports Hawal. They set a target of 139 runs which Royal Sports Hawal touched in the last over of the game, thanks to the trilling knock of Shabir Ahmad who made 61 runs in just 38 balls. He was declared Man of the Match. Sufi Mushtaq Ahmad and Farooq Ahmad Dar were chief guests on the occasion.
Pertinent to mention here, there will be no match on Saturday, while on Sunday a delegation of journalists has been invited as special guests and two league matches between Star Achivers v/s FCC Hawal and Baba Adam XI v/s ACC Athwajan are scheduled.
