Srinagar: MS Dhoni, former Indian cricket team captain, visited a school in Srinagar and interacted with students, the Indian army said.

The army had kept the event under wraps and journalists were not aware of Dhoni’s visit till late Wednesday evening.

Donning the army uniform, the 36-year-old posed for photographs with the students and faculties of the school.

During his interaction with the students, the honorary Lieutenant Colonel stressed on the importance of education and sports, according to Chinar Corps’ official twitter account.

“Lt Col (Hony) Mahendra Singh #Dhoni interacting with the enthusiastic children of #APS #Srinagar; emphasised upon importance of #studies and #sports @adgpi @NorthernComd_IA @msdhoni,” the tweet said.
