Job fair in Ganderbal on Nov 23

GANDERBAL: District Employment and Counseling Centre, Ganderbal is going to conduct a one-day job fair for educated unemployed youth of the district on November 23 at Government Degree College, Ganderbal.

During the fair to be held under the banner ‘Aein-e-Rozgar’ on spot placement in various non-government and private sector would be offered to aspirants. To review the arrangements in this regard a meeting was convened by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Syed Shahnawaz Bukhari on Saturday, which was attended by officers from line Departments and representatives from various private companies.

The ADC Ganderbal directed the District Officers to install the Flex Boards, Banners and circulate posters and pamphlets about schemes and depute at least one resource person for disseminating information about their respective Self Employment Schemes among the job seekers.

Representatives from private companies were asked to take an active role in the said job fair. The ADC said that the role of private employers is pivotal in the said programme.

It was said that the Employment Department will act as a facilitator and will provide the platform for interaction between the proposed job seekers and employers.
