Resident doctors goes on strike in SKIMS; demand removal of pay discrepancy

Srinagar: Resident doctors in Sheri Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Soura (SKIMS) goes on strike while demanding All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and PGI equivalence pay and other benefits.

According to INS, doctors while observing strike demands equivalence in pay scale and other service benefits with the AIIMS and other top health institutions of Central Government.

Meanwhile, only Emergency Services at the SKIMS hospital are being kept away from the strike.
