Thomas Edison has rightly said that “To invent, you need a good imagination & a pile of junk”. This is exactly what Mir Faizan, a young innovator from Green Valley Educational Institute has proved. This student who studies in 11th standard & hails from the Soura area of Srinagar has invented many amazing gadgets and that too in his bedroom without any professional degree or expertise. Faizan has converted his room into a mini laboratory where one can find all his creations.

From Remote controlled automatic door lock to flying drone, Faizan has made it all from a scrap. Apart from his Remote Sensing devices, Faizan has created a Robot which can be controlled from any part of the world using GSM mobile network and a cell phone.

Faizan has also participated in many scientific fairs and workshops and has won many awards. He has also participated in Science Fair at IIT Delhi where he won a Bronze Medal for one of his inventions. Not only this, he also stood first in one of the Science fairs organized by DIET here in Srinagar few months back.

Faizan said that he is thankful to his parents for supporting him morally and financially for his dream. He is currently working on a project but didn’t want to reveal the details at the moment.

We really hope that this young boy keeps inventing and achieves his goals.
