Srinagar: Army on Sunday said two militants were killed when they were trying to infiltrate along Line of Control in Uri sector of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

An army official said that personnel posted along LoC at Kamalkote noticed some suspicious movement near on wee hours.

The army fired some shots which were retaliated by the infiltrators, triggering off a gunfight, he said. Two infiltrators have been killed so far while searches in the area are still going on, he added.
