Water crisis hits Ajas, block Sgr-Bpr road

Sumbal: The residents of Ajas  and adjoining areas on Saturday  staged a protest against the Department of Public Health Engineering (PHE) over non-availability of drinking water in the area.
The protesters including women and children who blocked the Bandipora –Srinagar road  at Ajas. Traffic movement was disrupted.
The protesters were demanding restoration of the water supply in the area which has been blocked for several Days .
“We have no drinking water for past several days . The department has turned a blind eye towards the problems being faced by people due to non-availability of drinking water”, a protester said .
