Gurupurab, the birthday of Guru Nanak Dev Singh, was on Saturday celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety in Kashmir valley and Ladakh region.

 

Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, leaders of different political parties and Sikh organisations have greeted people on the occasion.

Gurupurab, the birthday of first Guru of Sikhs, and the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak Dev is being celebrated throughout the state with traditional religious fervour and enthusiasm.

The main function was held at Gurdwara Chatipadshahi in old city’s Rainawari area.
