Srinagar: For the fifth consecutive Fridays congregational prayers were not allowed in the central mosque, Jamia masjid, in Nowhatta area of Srinagar.
Restrictions were imposed to thwart any protest as pro-freedom leaders had called for valley wide shutdown against ‘the landing of Indian army in Kashmir corresponding to oct 27’.
JRL had urged to observe oct 27 as black day.
