Hurriyat Conference (G) urges HR bodies to see India treats political prisoners with ‘human values’

Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference led by Syed Ali Geelani on Wednesday expressed deep concern over the plight of Kashmiri pro-freedom prisoners lodged in jails in and outside Kashmir and urged human rights bodies globally to “make India accountable for treating these prisoners as per human values.”
In a statement issued here, the Hurriyat Conference hailed the “meritorious services and sacrifices” rendered by prisoners said that they created laudable history.
“We salute them for their steadfastness, persistence and commitment,” he said, adding, “Their commitment and exemplary bravery will certainly rejuvenate movement and infuse new sprits among young generation.”
In an appeal to ICRC, Amnesty International and international organization for human rights, Hurriyat Conference impressed upon them to take their cognizance and use influence for immediate release of all detainees and make India accountable for treating these prisoners as per human values.
The Hurriyat Conference also released the list of incarcerated leaders whom it said have been implicated in “fake cases”.

Mohammad Bhat, Dr, Mohammad Qassim, Dr. Mohammad Shafi Shariati, Nayem Ahmad Khan, Amir Hamza Shah, Mir Hafeez ullah, Mohammad Yousuf Falahi, Abdul Gani Bhat, Mohammad Yousuf Lone, Mohammad Shaban Dar, Raies Ahmad Mir, Gh. Ahmad Gulzar, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Zahoor Ahmad Watali, Kamran Yousuf, Syed Shahid Yousuf, Gh. Qadir Bhat, Mohammad Shaban Khan, Salman Yousuf, Shakeel Ahmad Yatoo, Manzoor Ahmad Kaloo, Haji Mohammad Rustum Bhat, Mohammad Subhan Wani, Mohammad Yousuf Sheikh, Ab. Khaliq Regu, Gh.
