The convocation hall was full of enthuastic Grand Parents and parents watching their precious pearls perform as the Bonvivant English high school celebrated it’s 45th Annual day at Taghore hall here in Srinagar on Monday.
The function was presided by Farooq Ahmad Shah secretary education, Khursheed Alam MLC PDP, Nazir Ahmad Khan state chief commissioner J&K, Amir Ali Mir Director for Disaster Management, Firdous Ahmad Tak MLC PDP, Muzaffar Ahmad Tramboo District officer youth sports and services.
The main aim of the function was to provide a platform for the students to showcase their talents .
The function started with the recitation of Quran followed by Naat shareef then then some songs on which few little childerns danced, then a kawali “Allah hu Allah hu” followed by a Kashmiri school “Aes che kasher nove nehar nove bahar”
Speeches given by the guests were inspiring and informative .The guest of honour in his speech appreciated the managerial skills of the principal’s standard bearer in the field of education.
Chairman of the School, Mohammad Shafi, highlighted achievements of the school over the years. He said the school aims to provide quality education to students and put in place quality infrastructure in its laboratories and classrooms.
Students of the school presented a colorful cultural program on the occasion. Students who performed during the event were hailed for their performances.
The chief guest Farooq Ahmad shah education secretary while addressing the function said, “The school authorities organized the annual day where students showcased their talent. We are in the process of taking various reformative measures and hopefully gaps in our system will be filled very soon.”
He further added that in down town area we are making a road map to uplift up the education sector, as well as for the whole valley.
“We are trying to do our best to uplift the education sector in our society. I have requested all the schools to spend around 20 minutes in morning assembly on moral education,” Shah told gathering.
MLC PDP Khursheed Alam while addressing the occasion said “that I am very thankful of this institution. Especially the participation of the school in down town area. The school has produced the doctors, engineers, bearucates. The contribution of the school has remained very high from last four decades. I am very impressed by the students of this school. As present MlC I announce one lakh rupees donation to this school.”
Alam remarked that the school always strives hard to give the best standard of education with the co-operation of parents, Principal and management.
Certificates and medals were distributed to those who are good in discipline, punctuality.
Anchoring by student of the School was the highlight of the program.
