KPL Week 3: Rangers, Avengers, Bashers’ victory settle the first day

KSA: Rawalakot Rangers Jubail, Anantnag Avengers Abha, and Baramulla Bashers Nofa registered their wins in the Kashmir Premier League KSA on third weeks’ opening of the tourney.

With 3 matches in a day as KPL opened its third week, first match was played between Srinagar Strikers Jeddah vs Rawalakot Rangers Jubail.

After SSJ won the toss and elected to bat first, they put up a score of 139/8 in 20 overs.

In batting, Mushtaq Ahmad scored 34 of 21 balls for SSJ, and Babar Saleem and Muhammad Asif of RRJ claimed 3 and 2 wickets respectively.

With Najmus Saqib and Sohail Latif scoring 38 of 30 balls and 34 of 26 balls respectively, RRJ won the match.

It is the second win for RRJ in the tourney.

Man of the match was given to Baber Saleem for his 3/28 & performer of the match was awarded to Mushtaq Ahmad for his all-round performance with bat and bowl , 3/17 and 34 runs 17 balls.

2nd match of the day was played between Rajbagh Royals Riyadh vs Anantnag Avengers Abha.

RRR won the toss and elected to BAT first, RRR scored 144 runs for 7 in 20 overs.

Suhail Bakshi was among the top scorers 28 of 34 balls while Faisal Wani paced innings with quick fire of 28 runs of just 13 balls with 3 mighty sixes and  Umar Manzoor took 3 wickets while Manzoor Bhat and Shabir Bhat  bagged 2 wickets each.

AAA chased down the target in 17.2 overs as Ishfaq Mir blazed the fields with 53 of 31 balls.

While wickets of Ishfaq ,Manzoor and Faizan, tried to slow down AAA but Shabir Bhat and Salil Mir took their to a comfortable win .

Sadat Gundroo and Riyaz Wani took 1 Wkt each.

With the success AAA registered their 1st win of KPL-1.

Shabir Bhat of AAA was awarded Man of the Match for his outstanding Batting and Bowling (41 of 29 balls , 2/32) and performer of the match awarded to Ishfaq Mir for scoring 53 of 31 balls.

 

The last & 3rd match of the day was played between Baramullah Bashers Nofa & Downtown Dynamites Al kharj.

DDK won the toss and elected to bat first but were bundled out for lowest total of KPL-1 so far on just 31 runs, BBN bowlers destroyed DDK batting in just 7.4 overs.

Lukman Khan took 5/11 and Kamran Khan 4/19.

It took BBN only four hours to seal the win.

Lukman Khan was adjudged man of the match for his 5/11 figures in the match and Kamran khan was performer of the day for his 4/19.
