Srinagar: Unknown gunmen killed a non-local snack vendor in Arwani area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Sunday evening.
Official sources said that the gunmen fired upon at the vendor identified as Shakir Ahmad, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, at Arwani. Shakir was critically injured and died on way to the hospital.
He was working in Kashmir since last several years and was presently selling snacks, they said. Soon after the incident, police, army and paramilitary forces reached the spot and cordoned off the entire area. When this report was filed, the joint team was pursuing with the hunt to nab the attackers.
