Two burqa clad ‘persons’ cut braid in Salkote Kupwara, protest erupt

Kupwara: In yet another incident of Braid cutting in Kupwara, two burqa clad ‘persons’ cut braid of a teenage girl after knocking her, and her parents ‘unconscious’ at their home in Salkote area of the district.

According to Local sources two burqa clad persons barged into the house of  Ab hameed mochi and ‘sprayed some substance on ‘parents’ which left them in a ‘groggy state’, and later ‘cut the braid of their daughter in another room’.

Identified as Bilqeesa bano is daughter of Ab hameed mochi  and lives in Mochi mohalla salkote kupwara.

Initial reports say that the girl was in another room, they sprayed some substance on her leaving her unconscious and cut her braid,” locals said.

Protests have erupted in the area.

“The girl is still unconscious and is hospitalised and police officials too are present there” family said.
