Anantnag beat Srinagar in women cricket championship

Ganderbal: Anantnag beat Srinagar in the first Divisional Level Women’s Cricket Championship organised by Jammu and Kashmir Women’s Cricket Association.

First of its kind, the championship witnessed participation of 12 teams hailing from various districts of the kashmir valley.

The title was decided in Super over after both teams scored 101 runs during the match.

In Super over, Srinagar could only score 6 runs which was easily chased by the Anantnag.

What followed was celebration and jubiliations.

The presentation ceremony was attended by  MLA Ganderbal Shiekh Ishfaq jabbar, Principal Govt College of Physical Education, Dr. Hartej Singh, CO 5RR,Col M Gururaj,President JKWCA Gulshan Ara, Vice president Dr. Basharat Ali.

The women championship in collaboration with Ganderbal based 5 Rashtriya Rifles concluded here at J&K Sainik School Manasbal Ganderbal.
