Gunfight in Rafi abad: Militants trapped in School

Srinagar: Jaish-e-Muhammad chief Khalid has been killed in a brief encounter with forces at Ladoora Rafi abad area of Baramulla district, police said.

According to sources, JeM chief Khalid had opened fire on Police naka, laid to catch a militant after inputs of militant movement.

Khalid escaped the spot however was chased, he first took refuge in a house, left it and later took refuge in a school building.

“After heavy exchange of gunfire he was killed,” sources said.

Khalid was categorised as A++ militant.
