Srinagar: The like of fidayeen attack Border Security Force 182nd Battalion camp at Humhama will continue to happen till Pakistan is our neighbor said Inspector General of Police Muneer khan on Tuesday.
Khan was speaking over a presser at Humhama and was flanked by officers of BSF and CRPF.
“These things will happen as long as militancy is there,” Khan said.
The predawn attack launched by militants on the camp left one Assistant Sub Inspector of BSF dead and three militants were killed in the ‘co ordinated operation’.

According to IGP the attackers sneaked in after cutting the fence of the camp and added that Srinagar international Airport was not the target of the militants.
“Six to seven Jaish militants belonging to the group which carried out this attack are still at large,” Khan said.
Meanwhile Home Minister Rajnath Singh has complimented the government forces for successfully eliminating the militants involved in an attack on a BSF camp in Kashmir.
“I have spoken to the DG CRPF and DG BSF. It was a good operation that they have conducted,” Singh told reporters in New Delhi.

The injured BSF personnel are stable.
Air traffic was suspended temporarily in the morning.
