Sopore: City Sports defeated FC Adipora on penalties after it ended 0-0 at full time in the final encounter of the Football tournament held at Wular View football ground Adipora Sopore.
The championship was organised by Jalal Pesticides Association Adipora Sopore .
Earlier FC Aadipora’s Star goalkeeper Waseem ahmad was awarded as an emerging player of the tournament.

MLA Sopore Haji Abdul Rasheed Dar was the chief guest. On the occasion Chief organiser of championship Mohammad Shafi was also present with the audience, watchingbthe thrilling match.

A total number of 16 teams took part in this championship enthralling the football lovers of North Kashmir, especially of Sopore. The first match of this championship was played on August 3rd, 2017.

While talking to media, Mohammad Shafi, the Chief organiser of the tournament said such sports activities are organised to encourage youths participation, Sharpen the sporting skills and techniques of the footballers and inculcate a sense of team spirit, sportsmanship, and healthy thinking.
