ARMY CONDUCTS EX SERVICEMEN  RALLY AT BONIYAR

Baramulla: Aimed at addressing issues regarding health services for the Veterans of Army for enhancing their quality of life even after retirement Army organised an Ex Servicemen Rally at Boniyar  Military Station, Baramulla.

‘The rally was attended by Veterans, which included retired Officers, Veer Naris and Gallantry Award Winners of the region,” Army said.

According to Army Major General R P Kalita, General Officer Commanding, Dagger Division chaired the rally.
“The rally was principally aimed at addressing relevant issues pertaining to health services, for the Veterans and acquaint them with various schemes and programmes for enhancing their quality of life even after retirement,” said Army.

Army also said pension related information, functioning of Veterans helping by PCDA (P) Allahabad, Ex-servicemen  Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), Smart Chip Ltd  (CSD Card), Post Retirement Schemes and service opportunities after retirement, was given.
Officials of Civil Administration Departments concerning Agriculture, Horticulture, Floriculture, Sericulture and Animal Husbandry advised about various government schemes available for the veterans. SBI, PNB & J & K Bank, Gramin Bank, HDFC Bank and Axis Bank also established information kiosks, during rally.
