Srinagar: The killing of top Lashkar e taiba commander Abu Ismael has created a vaccum in the LeT leadership, said Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, Muneer Khan on Thursday.

The IGP was speaking over a presser at after, what IG CRPF called ‘crisp operation’ in which two militants including Abu Ismael was killed.

“Two Militants Abu Ismael and Abu Qasim aka chota Qasim were killed in the encounter,” Khan said.

Abu Ismael, was wanted in ‘15 FIR’s including Amarnath bus attack and numerous hit and run cases’.

“There is a long way to go in eliminating militancy in valley,” IGP said.

IGP Kashmir was flanked by IG Crpf, GoC victor force, and DIG central Kashmir.

Abu Ismael and abu qasim were killed in an encounter in Nowgam in a brief gunfight.
