FSSA J&K bans ‘Grorich’ health suplement

Srinagar: Food safety and standard authority of Jammu and Kashmir banned health supplement product namely Grorich.

According the report a sample was taken in Kulgam District of said product bearing lot no. G-1025, manufactured by M/S utility Pharmaceuticals, Solan (HP) was lifted and send to national Anti-Doping Agency for Quality opinion.

The National Anti-Doping agency in its report has reported that the above sample contains ‘Two phenethylamine which is a prohibited substance and is likely to pose health risk to the end users.’

Dr. Pawan Kotwal Commissioner of food safety state of Jammu and Kashmir in the concern of public health, banned the product namely Grorich in the state of jammu and Kashmir for manufacturing, storage, distribution, with the immediate effect.

Food can transmit disease from person to person as well as serve as a growth medium for bacteria that can cause food poisoning.
