“Rohingyas are illegal immigrants. Security threat can’t be ruled out,” said Rajnath while responding to a question in Jammu on the deportation of Rohingya Muslims who have taken shelter in India.

The statement of UHM  comes just a day after UN human rights chief Zeid Ra’ad al-Hussein criticized attempts by India to deport Rohingyas to Myanmar.

“I deplore current measures in India to deport Rohingyas at a time of such violence against them in their country,” Zeid had said.
