Srinagar: Two militants were killed and an OGW was apprehended by police in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.

The gunfight militants erupted early Monday morning after cordon and search operation was launched following ‘specific information about presence of militants in the area’.

Two militants of Hizb ul Mujahideen outfit were killed in the encounter, tweeted DGP Sp Vaid.

The slain militants were reportedly identified as Sayar Ahmad Wani and Dawood Illahi Khan.

The OGW arrested during the operation was identified as Arif Sofi.
