Srinagar: Pall of gloom descended in Nishat when a young boy lost his life after being electrocuted in Soura on his twentieth birthday.
The tragic incident happened, on Saturday, when Abid Rasheed was fixing ceiling fan at a wedding ceremony at Usman Abad Soura.
He has been identified as Abid kursheed wani, s/o kursheed Ahmad Wani, R/o Nishat Srinagar.
According to eye witness, Abid was busy getting the assignment of fixing ceiling fans in the tent erected to host the guests of the marriage.
He was holding the wire in his mouth while fixing the ceiling fan, when the electricity shook him and he fell to the ground.
Abid was rushed to the SKIMS where doctors declared him brought dead.
Station House Officer Soura told INS that Abid turned 2o today as it was his twentieth birthday.
