Protests in Handwara over Shahid’s killing

Handwara: Government forces on Wednesday had to resort to teargas shelling after students of Govt Degree College Handwara staged protest over killing of  Shahid Bashir Mir last week.

Shahid, according to Army was killed in an encounter, the claim rejected by his family who accuse forces of killing him in a staged encounter.

Shahid was student of the  govt degree college handwara.

 

Reports say that forces later barged into college premises and thrashed faculty and students over the protest.
