Srinagar: Bid to loot an ATM was thwarted by the guard posted on Wednesday in Srinagar.
The guard identified as Shabir Ahmad Chopan fought with two persons who had come to loot the ATM in a Maruti car at Sanat Nagar during last night.
The looters fled after the stiff resistance by the guard posted there.
They left the tools they had brought with them and the Maruti car behind.
