Ganderbal: Timber planks were seized by police in the intervening night of Aug 24-25, however driver managed to give police a slip.
“During night patrolling in Tangchiter Kangan a Maruti car without having number plates was intercepted,” an officials to INS.
While police began to proceed towards the car, driver of the vehicle ran away taking advantage of darkness.
25 Timber planks and vehicle were siezed police station Kangan.
“FIR has been registered 6 forest act 379 Rpc, vehicle with timber has been seized and investigation is taken up, since the car has no number plate, we will collect details of car owner from R.T.O through chassis number & engine number,” SHO Kangan Nisar Hurrah told INS.
