Srinagar: The governor on Friday appointed Lal Chand as member of Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission to perform the duties of the Chairman during the absence of A.A. Latief-u-Zaman Deva, Chairman of the Commission.
According to a government order, Chand will take the responsibilities from August 28 till Deva resumes his duties.
The order has been issued by the governor in exercise of its powers conferred by section 134 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir.
