Srinagar: Body of a 45-year-old man, formally associated with ruling Peoples Democratic Party, was found on the slab of his under-construction house in Shangus area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
A police spokesman said that at around 9.30 a.m. on Monday, Police Station Achabal received information that body of one Shabir Ahmad Wani Son of Abdul Rehman Wani of Wakilbalan Shangas Achabal Anantnag was lying on the Slab of his one storey under construction house.
“The body bore minor injury on forehead and lower portion of eye. For ascertaining cause and circumstances of his death, Police Station Achabal has initiated proceedings U/S 174 CRPC,” the spokesman said. Wani was former PDP’s panch.
