Srinagar: A youth, in his mid 20s, was killed allegedly in firing by government forces on protesters in Shopian district on Sunday, the second civilian killing in few hours in the south Kashmir.
Official sources said that the youth identified as Mohammad Saeed was shifted to SHMS hospital where he succumbed. Further details are awaited.
Earlier, a youth—Owais Ahmad Dar son of Muhammad Shafi Dar was killed after the forces showered pellets on protesters near his native Kakapora area in the south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. Owais’s is the second killing due to the munitions in Pulwama district in last four days alone.
