Burqa clad gunmen loot JK Bank in Arwani

Srinagar: The Burqa clad gunmen Monday barged into Jammu and Kashmir Bank Arwani branch in Bijbehara area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district and Rs five lakhs.
Sources said that an amount of Rs 5 lac 20 thousand have been looted from the bank.
They said that the forces launched a manhunt to nab the robbers.
A police spokesman in a statement issued to KNS said that HM militants barged into J&K Bank branch Arwani in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bijbehara, Anantnag today in the afternoon and looted about rupees 5.20 lacs.
“Anantnag police has registered a case and investigation was set into motion,” he said, adding that “during the initial investigation and with the help of CCTV footage, it was found that HM militants are involved in this crime.”
“Efforts are on to nab the culprits,” he said. (KNS)
